Product Description
VersaWrap is an absorbable implant (Class II medical device) that provides a non-constricting encasement for injured peripheral nerves, tendons, ligaments, and/or skeletal muscle. VersaWrap consists of a sheet and a wetting solution. The sheet is an ultrathin alginate/glycosaminoglycan hydrogel that is easy to handle, conformable, and is designed for easy placement under, around, or over injured tissue. After positioning the sheet onto damaged tissue, the VersaWrap wetting solution, an aqueous chelator, is applied to quickly transition the sheet into a bioresorbable, gelatinous interface. Alternatively, the VersaWrap wetting solution may be applied to the sheet prior to implanting, allowing gel (syringe delivery) application of the device. VersaWrap is non-cytotoxic, non-pyrogenic, non-irritating, non-sensitizing, non-toxic, and non-genotoxic.

Benefits
• 510(k) cleared medical device (not a tissue or biologic)
• Designed to improve tissue gliding; reduce unwanted post-operative tethering
• Addresses post-operative tethering of multiple tissue types: peripheral nerve (including nerve root), tendon, ligament, skeletal muscle
• Nano-porous permeability to protect the delicate micro-environment of healing tissue
• May be applied as a sheet or as a syringe-deliverable gel, no sutures needed for either application method
• Non-immunogenic—all natural, no synthetics, no human or animal derived material
• Bioresorbable without replacement
• Ultrathin, designed for confined tissue spaces
